Mike McBride, the president of On Course Management, has over 35 years of experience in the golf industry. He was the golf course superintendent at Muirfield Village Golf Club from 1985 to 2003. While under his supervision, Muirfield Village had been ranked by "GOLF DIGEST" magazine as one of America's "100 Greatest Golf Courses" and had remained a top-20 mainstay each year. Muirfield Village Golf Club had been consistently recognized as the best conditioned golf course on the PGA TOUR while under Mike's tutelage.

While under the guidance of Jack Nicklaus at Muirfield Village, Mike was also responsible for several major renovations over the years. His understanding of the historical importance of golf design and their architects and the current growth in golf equipment technology, he blends the art form of design and the science of turfgrass management together to give you first class quality in the golf landscape. He continues to assist with renovation and restoration projects through Nicklaus Design.

Mike McBride has ties to Muirfield Village dating back to 1973. He assisted with the golf course construction and grow-in in 1973 and opening of the club in 1974. He went on to obtain his bachelors degree from Bowling Green State University in Political Science in 1976 and, returned to Muirfield Village Golf Club in 1982 and then received his 2-year Turf Certificate from the Rutgers University Professional Turfgrass Management Program in 1984.

There are over 100 golf course superintendents, assistant superintendents, and other leaders in the "green industry" that got their start or spent valuable time while under Mike's supervision through his years at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Mike is very proud of their professional development and maintaining the highest level of standards and ethics.
